Note: All prompts submitted through January 20, 2019 are included here. We will be accepting prompts through January 30, 2019 and will update this list at that time.
Writing Prompts
+Two people starting a relationship and one of them comes out as asexual. The other person asking what’s okay, what isn’t, etc. Maybe one of the partners learning how to be okay with it or processing it and such. Fluff too, maybe?
+A new couple navigates their first kiss, which may or may not turn into more. Verbal permission is asked and consent is given either verbally or through physical response (initiates the physical kiss, moves closer, pulls their partner to them, etc.)
+First time having sex (either first time ever or just first time between these partners)/continuous consent. The more experienced of them checks in with the less experienced before they lose their clothes. As things proceed, they both check in with each other; make sure they still want to proceed, that they are affirmatively consenting to more intimate touches and actions.
+One character takes care of another one (injured or sick), and obtains permission/consent to do any combo of the following: inspect an injury; take their temperature; undress or change them; give them a bath; go through their medical cabinet/bathroom; provide them physical comfort (hugging, hair brushing, back rubbing).
+Person A is someone who often shows their affections physically (kisses on the cheek, hugs, holding hands, brushing away hair, fixing another's clothes, etc.) but they know not everyone is always comfortable with that, even if they mean well. They make an effort to ask for permission before touching their friends, but write about one of the few instances Person A forgets to ask Person B before touching them, A realizes and apologizes, but B happily gives permission anyway.
+Person A has markings/old scars/etc. that make it painful to be touched by other people. Person B, a very physically-affectionate friend, acknowledges this, and tries not to touch A to avoid hurting A on accident. Person A over time realizes that they are the only friend Person B won’t try to show the small physical affections that they tend to show their other friends. Person A confronts Person B about this, and once B explains them not wanting to cause A unintentional harm, B tells A they are welcome to show affections to them too so long as they ask first. Person B immediately asks for permission to hug/hold hands/whatever now that they know they only need to ask, and both A and B begin to learn together what works and what doesn’t. (Platonic relationship preferred by prompt writer, but romantic is always welcomed)
+May I?
+Holding onto the no when others try to turn it into a yes.
+A character struggles with receiving affection/being intimate after a traumatic event.
+"I really don't like kissing."
+A character having a conversation with a family member/friend about not liking physical affection & having that respected
+I'd love characters A/B supporting each other's kinks even though A's kink is not B's kink. What does this mean if the characters are in a relationship?
+Person A hates birthday parties. Absolutely despises them. But Person B loves them, if only for the sake that it’s a time to show a person that people care about someone. Person B knows Person A doesn’t want to celebrate their own birthday, so B asks for permission to accept one gift/go out to one outing they think A will like. Person A says yes. Write about that one gift/outing. (platonic or romantic)
+A/B/O heat sex between a first-time couple. Discussing boundaries and what they are okay with prior to the sex or between bouts when minds are clear, navigating sticking to only the things they agreed on while caught up in the heat.
+Wedding night for an arranged marriage, marriage of convenience or otherwise couple who don't know another well yet. Feeling out another's boundaries both verbally and non-verbally, trying to cover up their discomfort with awkward joking, learning what the other likes and is okay with (and in some cases, what it is just too early for and that's okay, too.)
Safe/sane/consensual edgeplay
+Person A is an escort and Person B paid for their company (to act as their date, to provide companionship, to have a good partner in bed, etc.) Person B is floored at how attentive Person A is the entire time, asking if B is ok, never stepping over boundaries without asking, and just has an earnest interest of B. B has to remind themselves that A is paid to be this way - A being considerate and always asking permission/what B wants comes with the job. Afterwards, to B’s surprise, A asks if they can hang around some time off of work hours.
+“May I have this dance?”
+Locker room AU, M/M, Naruto/Shippuden, hair-washing
Art Prompts
+Person A opens their arms as an invitation to hug, allowing Person B the option to accept or decline.
+Older relative accepting an air hug from a child
+“May I have this dance?”
+An animal is injured but won’t let anyone near it when they try to help, hissing/growling/scratching anyone who tries to touch it. Person A tries asking permission - out of exasperation at this point - and the animal actually listens.
General Prompts
+Person A and Person B obviously have feelings for each other, but do not act on their feelings because they cannot have a normal relationship due to Person B's commitments (maybe because of political reasons, or B has taken vows, or B is promised to someone else, ect). Person A respects Person B's wishes, but asks for their permission to continue to be there for B. Person A is honest with their feelings, that they still love B dearly, but A would rather continue to be there for B platonicly if it meant having B in their life if B would permit it.
+Vampire AU! The vampire has been courting the human for a while now, and the human invites them to their house for their next date. When the human realizes the vampire can’t come inside without explicit permission, the human teases them with giving the vampire permission to do all sorts of things when they’re inside, egging the vampire on with permission for everything except being allowed in the house. Eventually the human does give in, allowing for the vampire to tease the human as payback (can end up with fun sexy times filled with the vampire teasing explicit permission from the human to please them, or can lead to fluff).
+Turn-taking at a playground (or dog park, or arcade, or shooting hoops...)
+Character A and character B go on their first date which ends with A asking B for a kiss. Long, steamy make out session ensures.
+“May I steal you away?” Person A asks.
“Is it really ‘stealing’ if I give you permission?” Person B returns.
“I certainly think so; everyone else here would lack the pleasure of your company.”
Person B smiles at that. “The crime of the century.”
“Almost.” Person A reaches out their hand for Person B to take. “A crime far more terrible would be to
bring you displeasure when you deserve the world.”"
+Sex between partners of very different species or have sex in different ways, who aren't familiar with what the other species finds pleasurable or painful, both afraid of hurting another. They're both into it but loads of communication is needed every step along the way.
+Consentacles
+Person A - a young child - is learning to ask for permission for things. Person B - a parent, a friend, a sibling, etc. - is the person that A keeps asking things: “Can you tell me a story?” “May I have a snack?” “Can I have a hug?” Just lots of cuteness please!
+Person A kisses Person B and makes it clear they're interested in sex. B is interested too until they realize A has had a lot to drink. Can be for an established couple or a couple that hasn't slept together before.
